Welcome to Tavistock Swimming Club

ANNOUNCEMENT OCT’18 – We are delighted to announce that Nathaniel Rookes, our development coach, has been appointed as the head coach of Dinnaton swimming club. Sadly, this means he will be leaving us, but it has been a joy and a privilege to work with him and we are very grateful for his undying determination, dedication and passion for the club, and for swimming and coaching.

This step up is very well-deserved; Nathaniel will be the second coach to start his coaching career at TSC and go on to coach a club of his own; the club is very proud of him.

We are sure that swimmers and parents alike will miss Nathaniel, but will join with us in wishing him all the best for the future. We look forward to seeing him at galas!

Welcome to Tavistock Swimming Club

Tavistock Swimming Club is a friendly, thriving swimming club based at Meadowlands Leisure Pool in the market town of Tavistock, West Devon. It provides regular training sessions for those who want to compete at all levels but also has swimmers who just train for fitness purposes.

Tavistock Swimming Club is a charity, based at Meadowlands Leisure Pool, which operates independently from Fusion & Meadowlands management.  It is run by a committee of volunteers.

We welcome swimmers of all ages & abilities, with flourishing junior, senior and master sections.

Swimmers at Stage 6 and competent swimmers able to swim a length or more are welcome for a free trial by contacting the club at tavistockswimmingclub@gmail.com

Club swimmers take part in the Devon County Championships, the Devon Development Galas and the City of Plymouth Championships. They also have the option of swimming at open meets which are regularly advertised on the notice board and the club website (in the competition entry forms folder).

Tavistock Swimming Club is an inclusive community swimming club, operating as a registered charity (Registered Charity Number: 1157854) with the aim of providing high quality, affordable, ASA qualified coaching to as many people as possible.

In addition to swimming there is an active social scene to enjoy, with regular organised social events. There are also great opportunities to build life skills in support of the club. For example, you could train to become a judge, team manager or use your skills by serving on the committee.

Here, on the website, you’ll find information about the club, upcoming events, newsletters, downloads and links plus other information such as who’s who in the committee and coaches.

Thank you for visiting this website. We hope you find it useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us via the contact page for more information.
